And so another season draws to a close with Sheffield's finest making their Belper debut. In the Headsticks mould of muscular folk rock, they and their friends, The Juvenile Delinquents, play The Queens Head on July 1st. And so a year that began with the more gentle music and wit of Anthony John Clarke ends with something a tad more rocking but with plenty of thought both lyrically and musically.
As always,it's been a rich and varied year with stunning Belper debuts from the likes of Sean Taylor,Bonfire Radicals and M.G.Boulter. So much great music out there.
Thanks for coming and as a way of saying thanks and introducing two great new bands, this gig costs just £3. Needless to say,it would be wise to turn up early !

Joseph Knight makes his long overdue debut at The Queens Head,Belper on Friday June 9th.
Living proof that Belper has indeed got talent,Joe first came to my attention at last year's Belper Goes Green Festival when an act scheduled for Sunday was suddenly forced to pull out. Saving our blushes,Joe took to the stage and impressed with the quality of his vocals and thoughtful songwriting.
Since then of course,Joe has gone on to headline many Midlands venues and his new EP 'Nervous' is evidence of just how far he has progressed.
Support comes from Lawrie Illingworth and Jack's Got a Plan who impressed when opening for Headsticks back in January. And what a night that was !
Tickets available at the venue from June 10th or contact mjones572@hotmail.co.uk.
