Acclaimed Canadian artist,Stephen Fearing returns to The Queens Head on October 16th.
Born in Canada, Stephen was in fact raised in Dublin before re-crossing the pond in his late teens. It wasn't long before Stephen's career took a steeply upward trajectory and his debut album 'The Assassin's Apprentice' featured contributions from none less than Richard Thompson. Collaborations followed with members of Los Lobos and The Cowboy Junkies and, most recently two albums written and recorded with perennial Queens favourite Andy White. In fact his last appearance in Belper was with Andy and was generally regarded as one of the gigs of that year.
Now Stephen is back for a European tour and a very welcome return to Belper. Support is as yet to be confirmed but should feature a very popular and upwardly mobile local artist.
