My personal request will be her reading of 'Another Train' which leads me nicely to the return of its author, the perennial Pete Morton, on Feb 1st. Amber Valley's premier venue with an exciting New Year's line up.
It's not often that The Queens Head is proud to present an artist currently featuring on a BBC show. However,if you have just watched 'The Voice 2014', you will surely agree with the selection of Tom Jones and agree with me me that the great Sally Barker can transmute any old rubbish into pure gold. Featured at The Queens with US guitar maestro Vicki Genfan last November, Sally returns with guitarist Keith Buck for a show which promises to be both intimate and dynamic. With a career spanning from The Poozies to supporting the likes of Bob Dylan and Robert Plant, Sally brings one of the finest vocal ranges in popular music. Watch her on the Beeb by all means but do not miss this rare in-person performance. Advance tickets will be available at the venue on Monday 13th January or contact : mjones [email protected].

What a fabulous night. Thought 'Highway to Hell' was a great choice. Reminded me of Lucinda Williams encoring with 'Life on the road'. Come back soon ! Comments are closed.
